Tailgating and Game Day snacking are two beloved traditions. With the start of Week 1 for College Football being today. I thought there was no better time than to share some family recipes for great Game Day snacks!

1. Redneck Caviar

This family favorite is a delicious way to ensure everybody at the party is getting their veggies for the day. Which is especially difficult when pizza, wings, and bbq surround you. 

Ingredients:

2 - Small cans of corn, drained

2 - 15 oz. cans of blackeyed peas, drained

2 -  15 oz. cans of black beans, drained and rinsed

2 - Cans of rotel tomatoes with the juice

12 - Green onions chopped

8 oz. of Italian Dressing

Mix ingredients together and serve with your favorite tortilla chips.

2. Sausage Balls

A long time favorite in my family. Who wouldnt like a dish made from biscuits, cheese and sausage!

Ingredients:

3 - Cups of Bisquick Mix

16 oz. - of your favorite sausage, if linked slice casing and remove sausage

16 oz. - Shredded Cheddar Cheese

3/4 of a cup of water

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients and form about 1" balls. Place on baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. 

3. Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Potatoes

Easy set it and forget it crockpot meal for Game Days sure to put a smile on everyone's face

Ingredients:

1 to 2 lbs - Sirloin Steak

16 - 24 oz - Small or bite-sized potatoes 

Salt and Pepper

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder

Paprika

Montreal Steak Seasoning

2 - 3 tsp chopped garlic

olive oil or butter

Spray crockpot with cooking spray. Cut the sirloin into 1' cubes, discard any excess fat or render it down as a butter/olive oil substitute. Wash the potatoes and place them to one side of the crockpot. Place steak tips on the other. Salt, pepper, and montreal season the steak. Place garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika on the potatoes. Sprinkle mixed garlic over both steak and potatoes and drizzle with olive oil or butter. Cook on high 4 hours, stirring each side a couple of times. 

4. Key Lime White Chocolate Cheesecake Pie

Sweet, tart, and creamy this pie is a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients: 

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

6 - 1oz white chocolate baking squares, melted

3 TBS of sugar

1 cup of sour cream

1/3 cup of key lime juice

8 oz cool whip, thawed

keebler graham cracker crust

In a mixing bowl, mix the cream cheese until fluffy. Add the white chocolate and sugar. Beat until combined. Beat in sour cream and lime juice.

Fold in Cool Whip. Pour in Crust

Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.
